Moonlight Charade Poem by Jo R. Escher

Moonlight Charade

Phantom mist splintering the night

I know you watch, waiting

With coy submission

The moon revealing your form in naked truth

Together we transgress timeless time

Alive under spells unspoken

We are far beyond relics past

Uniting in dance we submit to hunger

Innocent defenses provoking fear

One leading into another follow

Dusty shards sculpt form

Void of shame which bares no witness

Her beauty foreshadows goddess lore

Incantation spills forth lilac wine

Perfection lain drunken in ever-present lust

Lavishing consent

An indulgence of completeness

2006
