' Moonrise ' Poem by MoonBee Canady

' Moonrise '

Rating: 2.9

Earth is Falling…
But Look! … at The Moon
She is Rising – Glowing
Like A Luminous, Curved-Spoon

Dripping Light to Us Below
Like a Shimmery-Sugar-Glaze Halo
Earth is Falling…
But Look … The Moon!

With MoonDust..
Day’s Memories Are Laid To Rest
She Peeks In Our Windows
And Throws Us A Kiss…

…to Soft Cheeks and Pillows
She is A Welcome Guest…
And as Earth Keeps Falling
She Rises in Regret…

… and Wonders… “Why?
Can’t They Live, Like They Look – Like That? ”…

… Earth is Falling…
But Look! ... At The Moon!

Earth is Falling…
But Oh! Look At The Moon!
He is Rising, Grand-Gliding
Promising to Pull us Soon…

… Like He Does Beautiful Brides
And Gracious Grooms
See, Earth Can Fall in Love
… Just Look At The Moon…

He is Big, Bright and Bold as A Star
He Beams Better,
‘Cause He’s Near, (while Stars Are Far)
Once, He was so Close,
I Could Almost Reach Him by Car
Singing,
“Lil’ Lulu – Carry MoonBeams Home In A Jar”

The Moonlit-Sky
makes any Night Clearer
The Full Moon is A Perfect,
Polished Wall Mirror
He Reflects The Greater,
‘Cause He Loves to Rise and Shine
He Doesn’t Need to Rule The Day,
‘Cause He Says, “Each Night is Mine! ”

Everyone Has A Place,
Unity is in Sight
What? You Don’t Believe…
Just Look At That MoonLight!
Earth is Falling… Bring Help Soon…
… Look Up At That Beaming Moon!

Lift Up Your Eyes to The Skies
… and MoonRise
Lift Your Hearts Out The Dark
and… Earth - Rise!
