Moonstruck

Rating: 5.0
Loosely held - is love pinned to me
My lapel boasts his presence
And in my glass - sherry rests
And in this way - I be the guest
For gentle do I press
The glass - in fear it shatters
I'll be banned from here
And will never taste these lemon scones again
(Provided on request -
Brought by prominently dressed butlers)
But - back to love
A woman leans against the balcony
Her hand busied with a cigarette
Her eyes set on the moon
I wait for her to boredly turn away
She does not - rather - becomes more adamant with her gaze
Each second she pursues
It's funny how I feel my heart
Gather its rushing thumps
I suppose it could just be
I like a girl that likes the moon.
