You must surely know that I am hurting
Should I call to let you know
Or should I just pretend
I was no more than a friend.

Once I filled your life with love and caring
Helped you to get it back again
Now.. that your life is on the mend
Have we reached the end?

Time is now, not then
It was easier when
Those messages that you would send...
Were they only to a friend.

I should be smiling now, not crying
I wanted happiness for you
But I... I miss you so
Where, oh where would I go?
