Morning Dawn Poem by Kevin Patrick

Morning Dawn

Misty morning's dawn arises
Announcing new day's countenance
Heavy dew secrets surprises
Baring hopes sweetly providence

And turf is scarfed in shade of light
Behind veils of shimmering gold
As flowers open, songs delight
Dripping tread marks of ambers folds

For eyes like buttercups to kiss
Ravish for rays sickly nectar,
Like bees to pollens timely Tryst
Sight betroths in morning's splendor

As the window draws the grey air
I shout against the sleeping dawn
But all I hears an echo stair
As the cold morning shudders on

As the cold morning shudders on - - - - - - - - - - - - you captured it all with those 6 words, dawn may be lovely but putting your foot on the icy floor sends an intelligent person flying back under the covers to cuddle the mate's back under the quilts and the mate's legs with your feet... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
