Morning Glories Poem by Rajita Kurup

Morning Glories

From my window when the sunlight peeked
I woke up with my aspirations tied
Up in the sky there was a golden spread
Ah! That was the Sun; hiding behind

The grey black cloud looked like a lady
With a beautiful face and open arms
I looked amused when the sun gleamed out
Like a child coming out from the shadows of the mother

A dropp of water fell on my face and;
All of a sudden the fountains sprayed
The greens turned greener and waved with the winds
The colours bloomed and fragranced the air

The amorous music of rains filled my ears
When the aqua pearls danced to the tunes
The avian wonders flew up high,
As if to touch the glories of sky

The blue blanket wrapped me up
As I stood wet under the open skies,
Watching the morning glories with my eyes
Or, should I say feeling them with my soul! !
