Morning Hare Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Morning Hare

I glanced up just in time to see
in the morning light a graze
of brown dashing for cover
in the shrubs that border
the driveway

It lingered by the fence
a moment or so

I froze and silently watched
as birds chattered

Then it slipped through the fence
and I came back to myself

A sleek brown hare greeting
its fellow sojourner
and on its way

A familiar sight, but one that always grabs ones attention. As usual Mike, a very nice, pleasant read Thanks. Best regards Richard
