Morning Love - Poem by Aminath Neena

The sun rises

The morn bird soars

The magnolia smiles

The myrtle sings

And the brook-

he flows

through the spout

Over the fringe of hills

Across the noble bridge

to rest on strawberry fields

And her heart hums

to the tune of love

As droplets merge

in pit of lobe

then the rivulet,

he stirs

further downhill

Cascading

Flowing< br>

Gliding

Into floral valley

kissing tender flowerets

Sending shivers

Down silky vines

Further down-

breezy,

the streamlet

he skirrs

nuzzling honey dew

Across the path

Resting for a split second

To form

A frosty waterfall

Trickling

Rushing

Gushing

Swaying

Over autumn blooms

Of golden berries

Dispatching

Silent troops

Of Goose bumps

Over velvet plumes

Easing down further

Still,

Finally

Embracing sleepy toe buds

With the promise

Of much anticipated

Pleasures

ahead
