Most People Live At Poem by Francis Duggan

Most People Live At

Most people live at or below the poverty line
And can only afford to drink the cheapest brands of wine
And cannot afford to pay rent so are condemned to sleep rough
They know about life and that life can be tough
Even poverty can be at varying degrees
In the Refugee Camps of the World millions of refugees
The people of drought ravaged and war torn Countries with nowhere to go
Who know all about suffering and hardship and woe
Those who talk of life choices have got it all wrong
Only to the privileged by birth such things to do belong
For every millionaire many in poverty
This is how it is and it always will be
So much inequality in the Human World of today
And that does seem a sad thing for to have to say.
