Mother... Poem by Deepak Calyampoondi

Mother...

</>As you've cared for me in this world,
given me so much, that i preserve it like gold,
the older i grow, the more i know,
O mother, your love for me is never cold.

As you've taught me, the lessons of life,
you've supported me, whenever i toddled,
you've not cared for anything else,
except for me and you did bless.

Holding my fingers as i stuggled to walk,
helping me pronounce the words so i could talk,
only with your kindness to me i could laugh.
The stories you told me to ensure that i slept,
All those warm hugs you gave me when i wept,
can i ever forget these things in my life.

Today when i look back and see,
your love for me was even more than the sea.
O how can i thank you in return,
your love for me can never be forgotten.

Blessed i am to have you,
i can't just imagine a life without you,
because you exist, so do i,
this is the real truth, not a lie.
