Mother's Day (For A Reluctant Mother) Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Mother's Day (For A Reluctant Mother)

Rating: 5.0

Mother's Day
You always say
Is no big deal
You're bound to run off
To fuss, or to prepare a meal
You brush it aside
In you're humble way
As if to say
Motherhood is thankless
But it's not I pray..

Dear Mother
You're right, I'll say
It's just another day
But don't wish it away
Because it's a special chance
for your child who loves you to say
I wish to make it special today
Just to give you appreciation and thanks
You really deserve each and every day
I love you Mom, Happy Mother's Day
