Mother’s soul
There in my heart there is a pain
Which I should try so hard to contain
My own flesh and blood left the nest
Telling me…mother now you have to rest
Take your own life into your hands
And start exploring moving sands
Mother wishes that her birds wont fly too far
With their new freedom they feel like reaching stars
Suddenly deep motherly love seems so forlorn
Just as when they held for the first time their newly born
Life’s clock ticks eternally on its way
Nothing can make it stand still and stay
Anywhere children’s destiny might bring them to
Mother’s soul is their home all life through
