Mother Teresa Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Mother Teresa

Rating: 5.0

From Skopje, a young heart,
A call to a different start.
Anjezë, then Teresa, knew,
A love so strong, pure and true.

To India, she made her way,
To help the poor, come what may.
In Calcutta's crowded street,
She found the hurting, so sweet.

A nun with gentle hand,
Across the suffering land.
She saw the sick and weak,
A loving word to speak.

Missionaries of Charity, she did found,
Kindness spread all around.
For orphans, for the dying breath,
She brought them comfort, even in death.

A prize, the world did see,
For peace, for you and me.
The Nobel Peace, a shining light,
Her work shone ever so bright.

She gave her prize, a selfless deed,
To plant a hopeful seed.
Years passed, her spirit soared,
By God's grace, she was adored.

Beatified, a holy name,
Then canonized, her lasting fame.
Saint Teresa, a gentle soul,
Making broken spirits whole.

She lived her days in selfless grace,
A saintly smile upon her face.
And now she rests, her journey done,
Saint Teresa, loved by everyone.
