Mothers Poem by DR KUSUMITA MUKHERJEE

Mothers

Eyes, teeth, fingers and toes
Sound, functional
Mind- - Intelligent
Looks- - Divine
Yet……………Neglected

Some are terminated before birth
Those who get through
Are forcibly obliterated from the face of society
Taught to be ashamed
Coached to be the second sex.

Sold
Butchered
Humiliated
Castigated
Discriminated.

Are they not but mothers of those who dish out such brutal indictments to them?
