Motionless And Silent Poem by Christina Nelmes

Motionless And Silent

Rating: 5.0

Up or down?
Left or right?
Don’t decide,
Just follow the light.
But that light is dimming,
And you’re losing your way,
Swimming in blackness,
Through hate and dismay.
Into the darkness,
You travel alone.
You want to turn back,
But you need to know.
What is this place?
Does it lead anywhere?
Or will I be stuck,
In this black hole forever?
Deeper and deeper,
Darker and darker.
The space is getting smaller,
Your chest is getting tighter.
It’s harder to breathe,
What’s going on?
You’re getting the chills,
But you keep moving on.
Tick tock,
Times running out.
The oxygen level,
Is still going down.
You’re getting dizzy,
You’re head is spinning.
You’re knees buckle,
And you fall to the ground.
You scramble to get up,
As you look all around.
But all you see is darkness,
And you don’t hear a sound.
You scream for help,
But no one can hear.
Louder and louder,
You yell out in fear.
Still no one answers,
And you’re left all alone.
Muscles getting weaker,
Your skin is getting cold.
Your legs are immobile,
Couldn’t move if you tried.
You gave it your all,
But now your body lies,
Cold and pale,
Sprawled and lifeless,
Stiff and brittle,
Motionless and silent.
