Mourning Clothes Poem by Barry Blander

Mourning Clothes

Didn't I give you everything I had?
Then why are you making me so sad?
Don't you know I can't live without you?
Don't question my love - you know it's true

Come back to me
And we'll find a way to forgive
Come back to me
And I'll shed these mourning clothes and live

When you told me you were going to leave
The only thing I could do was grieve
I built my whole world around you
Now the walls have crumbled down
And there's nothing I can do

Your love was the most precious gift
Anyone ever game me
Your smile make the sky
Melt into the sea
Yes, I love you so very much
All my tears would dry up at your touch

Come back to me
And we'll find a way to forgive
Come back to me
And I'll shed these mourning clothes and live...
