Moving Away Poem by Amber ...

I lost a million friends today
When me and my parents moved away
We packed our bags and put them in the truck
For the love of God, this is just my luck

My BFF Alexia cried and cried
I feel like my heart was ripped out, it died
My boyfriend is sad, I loved him so much
But I promised him I would keep in touch

I already miss my teachers and friends
I guess it is over, I guess this is the end
I'm moving to a new town with new people
With huge buildings and houses and a church with a steeple

My mom says everything will be okay
Maybe it will, but only for today
I'm going to live in this unfamiliar place
And try to hide the sad look on my face
