Moving On Poem by George Howard

Moving On

Leaving my vessel I drift into oblivion

Floating by lost souls and hopes
Into eternal peace, solitude and space
Flying free, umbilical chords cut
Ever escaping this Human 'Race'

My energy is me, set loose,

Untethered from that mortal coil

Unhindered by ‘cant’s, mustn’t and don’ts

No longer restricted to earth’s terrestrial soil

My being bombarded by the truth of knowledge

Realisation at last, as I sip the honey

A place neither of greed nor of hate

A place neither of possessions nor of money

A collective of love of knowing

Essences gathered bound by true reality

Irresistible, inarguable, indisputable truth

Far removed from the truth of ‘normality’

Ascended at last to a level we belong

A joining, yet separate, entwined and complete

Travelling time and distance of space

At last no restrictions of rules to compete

We pass through the cosmos, no distance too far

Not needy of succor, no sustenance desired

The boundaries of eternity no longer eluding

At last becoming the light, to which we aspire
