A bitter song, a sharp regret,
For choices made, a path now set.
The words that echo, sharp and deep,
Of promises they couldn't keep.
The safety net, now torn and frayed,
Where help was sought, now stands betrayed.
Homes that were promised, lost their way,
As shadows lengthened day by day.
The sound of bombs, a heavy toll,
While dreams of peace, beyond control.
A strange divide, a weary sigh,
Beneath a vast and watching sky.
