Mr. Leary Poem by Percy Flage

Mr. Leary

I feel no better than a chicken wing,
Deep fried, heavily battered, burned.

I will henceforth reject all rejections,
And recede from my own recession.
Monotony need not be so slow and
Transgressions always leave me lame.
Today marks the end of ending myself.
I vow to make right that which has left,
To make alterations to my altercations,
And renew most which now feels so old.

Because
I feel no better than a chicken wing,
Deep fried, heavily battered, burned.
No better.
No better at all.
