Mumbai- 2006 Poem by Oliver .........

Mumbai- 2006

Its density the December sun
Presses; twilight as a girl
In glowing costume flares
To an estuary, a back-bay!

From the sea her smile flows
To the shore, exhibits are
Marked on the shore, continental
Shelf, the blue eternity
And the brine's enormity!

Gravity of thoughts recede;
Night blindness to Gate Way of India,
The world, too crazy, moves on.

An unsecured world; tons
of darkness touches the sea,
Revelations of the meaningless, or
Relations of what one sees!
To the antipodes, spindrift of the sea
Goes like a lover
Tied to the devotion at evening.
You watch the surf, hear the bang
And blab, the meaning of all perhaps!
