Mumtaz Poem by Shamik Kumar Bose

Mumtaz

Stupendous silence beside the banks of maiden Jamuna-
now clamours. My love's last refuge!
That velvet fate-lorn shawl over her- now sleeping;
floats in love-lorn moonbeams.
O! Whom can I entreat now- 'Have you seen Mumtaz?
Once I found my Mumtaz! Loved my Mumtaz! '
