Music Of Silence Poem by Binoy Barman

Music Of Silence

She is sitting beside me like the smile of flower
But where is she?
It is her shadow lying in the verandah of twilight
Has she fled with mad southern breeze?
Beyond the open meadow where green grass is killed
Or she’s mixed with the twitter of birds
Blues at heart to yield
Afternoon spellbound by the music of silence
Clouds over the sky still like petrified dream
Has she then disappeared in the bliss of solitude?
Turag is yet to be in its full stream
Sound of waves enchants roving Baul
Yet Ashulia holds some attraction
For the tourist wind to howl
Far in the sky car runs high-speed
In this lovely afternoon
Where is letter to read?
Green leaves have organized a musical show
Roadside shrubs have arranged a dinner
Why is the music so low?
Can Tagore’s song in any case fail
Will the flavour of kabab our chat avail
Happy moments do not last long
Its seems disorder is the order of time
Destination has lost its way getting strong
As darkness devoured vanity of the city
Where - where to go
Don’t ask me please
I really don’t know.
