Music To My Ears - Poem by Mike Farris Jr.

I write these poems to ease my mind
In hopes it’ll do some good
In hopes it’ll shed some light
On this madness I have been through
Every day just to keep myself sane
Going up hill
My freedom to gain
Without music
I would lose my mind
I need those notes to pass the time
The gift of music
I cherish like gold
I will listen to it, and I will play it
Till the day I grow old
It brings me up
It takes me down
The music I love
I truly love those sounds
