where the steady stream of thoughts flow
where the wind whispers of sorrow
My aching heart would follow

where the grape vines sings under the summer star
And in faraway places
where we would never go

My aching heart would follow

My aching heart would follow
you and your winding steps
through cobbled streets
through grass and stones
through forests deep
through mountains of snow

My aching heart would follow

silently
and
forever in sorrow
