It was the first of days
When God did divide
The light from the darkness
And there she walked
Arariel
Upon the vales of first light
The world still held
A peaceful tranquillity
And upon the many mountains
And deep beneath the seas
You could hear a whisper
Murmuring a song of joyous
Festivity
There was sweetness
In the air
From the trees bearing fruits
And the birds roamed the sky
Spreading the news
Until a distant king
In a distant land
Heard the narrative
And grew jealous
From hearing
He gathered his forces
Men in a thousand armours
And invaded the land
To rob and plunder
And a silence
Fell upon the heavens
And the mornings grew pale
While darkness arose
In my Arariel's face
And since then
Nights did arise
And replaced morning
After day
Although she died
Years and years been since
And the young prince
whom you hear now speak
Had grown old
And laid shivering in bed
But he shed a tear
Once and a while
As he told this story
For all to hear and sigh
How there was no darkness before
And how few lived today
To tell the tale
Of old
How a demon king
From a distant land
Came and stole
His dear Arariel
And how he fought bravely
To save her
Alas!
How she died
Of fear and agony
As he sat beside her
In petrified melancholy
And how as the demon king approached
This land of old and new
And how his armies fought
Until darkness came
And engulfed this world of ours
There was an unknown fear
in the air everyday
And darkness covered
the planet everyday
And no angel from heaven
did ever walk
to bless this world of ours
again
And since then
There was darkness everyday
And we who lived to say
Called it Night
Again and again
And since then There was darkness everyday And we who lived to say Called it Night Again and again, , , the philosophy of light and darkness, night and day, moon and the sun......... very nice poem with so much of elaboration to prove your point dear poet. thank u very much. tony
