My Angel Poem by Ben Littlechild

My Angel

Rating: 4.8

I gaze upon your face,
Its lines and emotions I trace
My heart beats rapidly like running a race.

Your smile is like a newborn child
Seeing the world is alive and full of love.
Its beauty in flesh incarnate.

This world without you would be a sin,
The beauty lost from within
Your presence makes the universe right,
Happiness and joy in human form
An angel on earth, yet heavenly bound
That’s my world when you’re around.

These words I write for you,
Cannot explain my feelings true.
They are mere shadows of my love,
A love so wonderful, it must have come from above.

You are my everything, that I hold dear,
But this I do fear
That you may not want me near.
