My Angel Poem by Misty Talbot

My Angel

Rating: 5.0

My little angel,
from heaven above,
sent from god,
for me to love

A scary arrival,
an anxious time,
the coming of
this child of mine.

Eyes that change colour
from one day to the next.
My beautiful daughter
lying on my chest.

Dreams of how your life will be.

Beautiful eyes,
gurgles and sighs.

A long fight ahead,
many paths to walk.

Mothers watchful eye,
like those of a hawk.

The day will come,
when you will leave.
A time when I will sob and heave.

The day my little girl takes flight.
I already dread that night.
My angel leaving home.
My little girl now grown.
