My Angel Flew Away Poem by James (Bluesman)Cooper

For the time we were together our love grew tall as the sky. For over 4 yrs of passion and now you say goodbye. People ask me what happened and where you are and I try to think of what to say. My angel flew away. That's right you were and still are my angel and nothing will ever change that fact and you have'nt been gone long and I hope you come flying back. But if you don't I won't fear and I'm down down to my last tear. Yeah I cried over you cause your gone but angel you don't know what you left cause I really won. Your without a good man who did everythng in his power to make your life worth living cause you were my wife and i'd not forsake her including even got us a 2 bedroom house on an acre. We had the world on a down hill pull by the tail and when you left in hopes of taking the wind outta my sail but what don't hurt me only makes me stronger and I will hurt no more over you any longer. So whe npeople ask me where you are and I think about my heart and how much I'd like to make you pay. I can only think of one thing I'm happy to say. My angel flew away
