My Apology For Non-Attendance At The Florida Convention - Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet
In trepidation I would go,
Into your room, I’d walk real slow,
For at your Convention there would be,
Many Poets there to see,
From cities, towns and countryside,
From countries and places worldwide,
There to discuss with like minds,
Their poetry in verse and scan,
That all, their work, may understand.
And why each writes in their own way
To place their visions on display.
For fellow poets in Orlando’s air,
Will talk, discuss and write some more,
For a captive audience gathered there.
Tis just a pity I can’t go,
To walk into your room real slow.
