My Beard Is Not Long Enough



I dare not dream that I am free
When my beard is clean shaven
Or I wear one that's not long enough
In Afghanistan where faith and beard
Are one
I will sleep in a gaol
And when a prison term grows one
Long enough,
Then I will be free.
