My Beloved Poem by Sean Ewing

My Beloved

We met as kids and began a life together

Raising beautiful daughters

In rough waters

In contention and strife

The storms of life

I always needed your strength of resolve

When I sin against you

You love Christ more than the hurt of sin

As He has forgiven, you have forgiven

Gray clouds weeping rain

Reminds me of pain

The pain of sin

But in Christ we win

Love endures all

Even as we fall

Unlike watercolors that wash out

In my heart I love you no doubt

Like sparks in the sky

On the fourth of July

I love love love you

When life pulls me down

You help bring me around

From Christ we learn to love

With His grace from above

It's for Christ we live

And are enabled to forgive

Christ is the reason

That we endure together each season

Faith brought us together

Faith has kept us together

My hope is in Christ

That is the goal of my desire

For His love I can find no substitute

There is joy in my life abidingly

Knowing that you my beloved

Will be with me in this journey of life and faith
