My Beloved Has Come Poem by Mohammad Younus

My Beloved Has Come

My beloved has come—
He sits at the window,
like a nightingale,
singing, looking at me,
scattering on my lips
a sacred, divine smile.

My beloved—
a nightingale, a beautiful bird,
singing, calling out,
his song a gift,
a gift just for me.

This song reveals within me
the divine presence,
a sacred essence:
calm, comforting,
filled with joy.
As if a newborn
arrives in my home,
spreading light.

A night adorned with stars,
divine light,
and soft, sweet music,
in a state of peace,
transforming my life—

Now the white leopard,
my eternal foe,
will vanish silently,
without a sound;
in my beloved's presence,
he can no longer linger
within my home.
