My Best Friend Poem by Soni Nati

My Best Friend

The deepest corners of my mind,
Nothing but sadness you will find,
The darkness has gripped my mortal soul,
You can't even find a pice of coal.

I am unbalanced, gripped by this rage.

Caught in this war of light and dark,
Each side trying to bare me it's mark,
And I wonder if I will find,
The soul I lost of love and kind,

Demolished by my evil half,
Sadly it begins to laugh,
My best friend, loyal and true
I can only hope the darkness has not consumed you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this from a main characters point of view after his first and more gental soul is taken and he is a war with himself for letting this happen.

His evil half is at fault.
