My Best Friend Poem by stacy gourdine

My Best Friend

We share time at each other house. We started out together for a goal. To grow up some day have a have a family of our own. She was so sweet friend we play together right after church. We love to spend the night at sband and children and be rich. No that did not happening we went through so many good and bad before we got what we kind of wanted. She had to go through some changes with her family. I had to learn to say good bye for many year we would live apart but still stay in touch. We grew from girls to teens. We talk of boys and what job we would have. As I got to later teen we had to part. She move away to a land I did not know. I had to be on my own for those hard year in my life. She would run away and come to my house. But our parent would change that plan. She had to live with her cousin. I got to visit so that was fun. I got to go to a dance and hand out lat and night that was not aloud in my home. She end up back with her mother and finish school. She went to college in Flordia. She landed a man but he was no good. He left her child and that was about all. She ended up going home. He was a boy I was so happy for her. But I went to visit and guess what happening? I met her cousin and now I am with child. A little boy would come. We both was in the same boat. No father for our kid. But we still was friends and care dearly for each other lives. She return to California and we had fun time. But she end up having to rush home because the father of her girls was not doing right by her. Now we these day still talk and do hope for the best for each other
