My eyes are yours alone
In my heart you are the song
You are my only one
In my universe, the sun…

But your eyes are not for me…
I am someone you barely see…
For your heart belongs to him…
The man of your sweet dreams

And oh, how it hurts me so…
I wish I could just go….
But I cannot let it show…
He’s my best friend don’t you know?

And the pain just surely starts
When you touch I fall apart
As your hands hold in sweet bliss
I pray to God, “spare me from this! ”

Yet ‘though it hurts me so…
I go down with the flow…
He’s my best friend, don’t you know?
Doesn’t he know I love you so?

My heart is yours alone…
In my soul you are the song…
But your heart is not for me…

And just how it hurts me so…
Everytime my eyes would know…
That it’s my best friend and you..
