My Bike Poem by Christan Bowen

My Bike

I have a bike
It's not the bike that I like
But it will suffice
I've rode a bike all my life

Riding a bike is taking a chance
There was a stop sign I didn't see
And I advanced
into a busy road
I made it through
But heaven knows

I've seemed to have made it
Through the gates
Because I know that heaven awaits
If I don't hit the brakes
Swerve
and make my escape

I have what it takes
To survive
All these years
I'm still alive
