My Blue Moon Poem by Emily Thom

Surprised by such a sudden spark
That left me quite assured
Where one was familiar to shades of dark
Could turn me so allured

Was him who desired my eyes of gray
That made me fall in love
To him that left me lost and confused
And the uncertainty I keep thinking of

My blue moon I don't understand
What is it that you now see?
That blissful night you carressed me softly
While the next you want nothing of me

I have known the sky to be crystal clear
With little to be found
For I know time can not last forever
But I truly miss having you around

So now I have this one request
And its hard for me to convey
That you brighten up my days of despair
My blue moon please don't go away
