My Climb Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

My Climb

I could have waited for her
But did not
I was in a hurry to reach the other side
Of the Moon,
Dark and lonesome, it demanded our love
To brighten up things.
I was a bit confused,
Without her, how could I?
Thankfully,
The monkeys ravaging my mind
Did not screech,
They did not ransack my mind.
I stepped on the spiral staircase
To begin my climb.
