My Cutter's Lullaby Poem by Crystal Fuller

My Cutter's Lullaby

Your sliver blade
Helping you make the world fade.
A line of crimson blood;
Your blood.
Is this the way you cope?
Have you truly lot all hope?
Is no other way? .
Will you survive another day?
Wipe the blood from you sliver
friend,
He still doesn’t comprehend.
Your life of endless suffering.
Take this ring;
With my cutter’s lullaby.

My sliver blade,
My only friend,
You won’t ever apprehend.
This is the last day I’ll survive.
Tomorrow I won’t be alive.
Take your ring,
And remember how life stings.
At night sing my lullaby;
It was you gift to me; my lullaby.
Take this ring;
With my cutter’s lullaby.

I couldn’t save you.
Now your lips... cold and blue
Didn’t you see?
My love for will never seize to be.
At night I will sing your lullaby.
My gift to you; your lullaby.
Your ring never leaves my hand.
Why didn’t you understand?
Now death had you under his
Demand,
While I’m under life’s command.
You ring never missing,
Your Cutter’s Lullaby never
dismissed.
