My Dark Foolishness Poem by Chidori Storm

I have been
So dumb and foolish
That I tell you now
I have nearly lost everything I have.

I have been foolish enough
To actually believe
That the person I loved
Could ever change or even love me.

She had me fooled
Right down into the dark
And has actually
Almost taken from me everything I love.

She has struck me down
So much and so hard
That I became a coward
And hid in the dark.

So now
The only thing I have
With me now to hold
Is my own dark foolishness.
