My Death Poem by Rose Marie Cook

My Death

Rating: 4.0

Pain eating me up inside, guilt tearing at my flesh
Truth and lies attacking from everywhere
Death calls my name his voice so sweet
I can't wait to be in his presence to breathe his air
To feel Death's touch upon my skin
Makes me anxious to try and end it
Last time wasn't enough, this time's permanent
I feel the icy chill on the wind, he has come
Feel the darkness closing in I can taste the sweet scent of him
I am breathless, his touch is freezing but what I long for
I slowly start to slip away from him and back to reality
I will see him again, nothing will keep me from him
For I have fallen in love with Death.
