My Decisions Poem by Nathan Espiritu

My Decisions

The things we do always tell the story. No matter if we fail or proceed with glory.
I cruise the earth sad inside. Wishing one day that something will end this ride.
This time of unhappiness and not knowing a thing. Just one day will the angels sing.
Sing a song that will make me glad. That day will come and lift the sad.
Hopefully out of my life forever. Will I stop trying, probably never.
Then I came to a point where I could take no more. I saw what I needed ready to soar.
Across the seas, open waters. Sun so heated, I was hotter.
Almost quit, then I thought. Why do that, so I caught.
Caught myself trying to run away. But I just can’t, I will stay.
Feel it out a little more. To decide I must search my core.
There lies my choice deep deep down. My decisions there always abound.
