My Demons - Poem by Sierra Morrow

They don't go away
they're always there
to haunt
to scare
they're my nightmares
they're my demons
they go where i go
they feed me the lies
making me feel useless
and in way over my head
they're my nightmares
they're my demons

The reason they don't go away SM! imo Is because they have gained strength in little resistence. You describe our demons very well here, we all have them...Those bastard voices in our heads, telling us how crap we are, how ugly, how fat, how thin, how mean! They can take over our lives, if we don't fight back, which, unfortunately, we are conditioned not to, by the stupid society that we all live in today.

It is a mind control thing. We have to take control, we can, it just takes practice, shut them out, change the subject, distract them, until they give up the ghost. Often by this stage, we are so busy living our lives that they never bother us again. Well that is my theory of living with my demons...There are lots of ways to shut them up, get them out. We just have to find the best way for us.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to chat on this mind fragile topical poem.

I like the form, each line expresses just what it needs to.

    Smiling at you

Tai, a demon killer, ninja warrior of the first order! lol modest without question
