MY DIARIES
Every morning's a new day, the old one has past
I write in my diaries about the day last
I figure I'm lucky my loves are still here
and I'm holding on fast.
My diaries remember the things that I've done
the pleasures I lost, the treasures I won
I figure I'm lucky my loves are still here
and my diaries will last.
My diaries are really my very best friends
my secrets are written there plain
holding my stories, all written there true
in letters and in this refrain.
As time passes by, I'm starting to think
that life has flown by, in less than a wink
but I'm lucky my diaries and loves are still here
and I'm holding on fast,
and my diaries will last.
