My Dreams Of You Poem by Wesley Willis

My Dreams Of You

Rating: 5.0

Your mother left the night I dreamed of you
You were so sad and young, and I was too
You came to me with your saddest smile- askew
Hand in hand we danced to a swirling- coo.

The dancing floor in a home of prestige
Your tender eyes were gazing past her death
To calm your spirit, I was there to appease
Heart to heart we danced, your breathing was my breath.

Like two nonrepelling magnets our lips,
were gently slowly melding together
Under this spell our eyes made companionships
Our dance, our eyes, our lips went on forever.

You held my fingers tenderly into your fright
We the breath of dancing Angelo Arts
Hazel, eyes were locked to the gaze of the night
Where love was sealed within two lonely hearts.

My canoe only floats on lonely rivers
The hornets kept, stinging my arms and hands
I fumble with the phone as I quiver
Torment of the singing from the Opera lands.

Before I dialed the phone to say I love you
The night was ending before I reached my bliss
Bells were ringing before the night was through
Alarms have woken my dreams- before my kiss.
