My Drink Spilled - Poem by Fernando Mendes

Sweat nectar of my affliction
Elixir of my addiction
I cower to the thought of drops
That lower the amount I’ve got

But flowers the spill that goes down:
Sexual, your formed forms are round
Sensual, your voiced voice sings loud

Infernal, your’s sore color red
So total, bringer of my dread,
Takes me sight and, thus, makes me fret
Makes me cry and, then, makes regret
Takes my life and, life, my’s not left

Day in, day out, I do look still
As is, say them, to my drink spilled
