My Enjoyment Poem by Kathryn Brookins

My Enjoyment

I feel this coolness beneith me,
I can here the rush of the waves from the sea.
The sand is cool and wet from the night air,
here I just lie back, and at the stars, I stare.
Its grass I feel beneith my body, bare and open,
No one is around, there is no need to be ashamed, nor broken.
Just lieing here, free of judgement and prying eyes,
this is true freedom... I now realize.
But this can only last a moment or two..
for someone is sure to walk up, this is nothing new.
Privacy? ? No longer a reality....
but a dream once dreamt and taken away.
All things change, nothing stays.
But I have this moment to enjoy and revell in..
and I will for as long as I can, and every now and again.
My secret place, my enjoyment fullfilled....
This no one can kill :)
