My Everything (Sonnet #273) Poem by Tina Baaklini

My Everything (Sonnet #273)

I love you like dews love red roses,
In your eyes I glow as a thousand suns,
Love symphonies your heart for me composes,
Love is our armor, the odds it overcomes.

When people ask me about you, sweet love,
I tell them he's my love, my friend and soulmate,
He's my everything, more than I ever dreamed of,
He's my heart, my soul's precious gift from fate.

The journey was long but so much worth it,
I want our hands to be tied forever
Side by side to walk hearts enchanted,
You fill my world with peace, love and splendor.

Yet should you ask me what you mean to me,
I'd say I breathe through you to live happily.
