My Eyes Are Tired Poem by Sujoy Bhattacharya

My Eyes Are Tired

I see and sigh!
I read with my eyes
Inscriptions of woes written
Om human heart, with tears!
A snake asked me if I would give
My permission to kiss my eyes ti
Turn them blind.
I patted the snake on thehood
For showing sympathy to me.
A pair of old parents kept captive
In a room.
Their son demanded to transfer the deeds of
Their property in his name.
He was torturing his parents for
Misappropriation of their wealth.
Greed and addiction made him a human beast.
The crows residing in the refuge of the mango
Tree adjacent to the house where tyranny was
Being staged.
One crow managed to steal stealthily
The key to emancipate the caged parents.
At midnight a group of crows did a miracle.
With claws and beaks they opened the lock with
Humane effort - their united effort crowned them
With human ability to unlock a door.
The night sky encouraged them, twinkling stars
Cheered up their ebullient zeal,
The moon rained gusto to give impetus to their noble job.
The tiredness of my eyes vanished without my knowledge.
